Chris Petrizzo

As an instructional designer, I have built everything from 15-minute eLearning modules to one-hour seminars to year-long development programs; incorporating methods from electronic simulations and role plays to action learning and board games.

I have worked extensively with subject matter experts from a wide variety of industries to develop and deliver engaging training that enables learners to immediately apply their new skills.

As a trainer, I have taught many software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Captivate. I am certified to teach proprietary courses such as the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Business as UnUsual. I am a subject matter expert on many topics including presentation skills, ergonomics, instructional design, customer service, communication skills, intuitive and critical thinking, and management skills.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Montana and a Master’s in Instructional and Performance Technology from the College of Engineering at Boise State University. I also hold a Training Certificate from the University of Washington.

On the personal side I spend a lot of time outdoors. I’ve completed a couple of marathons and ultramarathons, and love running on the trails in and around Boulder, CO. I also enjoy bird watching, wildlife photography, and hiking. My wife and I have traveled throughout the world, and continue to do so, especially enjoying more exotic places and their wild inhabitants.
